In recent years, tea in India have started experiencing a revolution from the traditional Tea stalls turning into contemporary tea cafes, to the way they are packed and presented. Café Artistea is an Artisan tea café in the heart of Fort Kochi with the concept of introducing the art of tea tasting and educating the public about tea beyond the standard chai. Our design concept was to give a modern distressed look to the 80 year old structure by wrapping the façade with a simple combination of brick and corten steel. The basic concept of the interiors were to give it a cozy and intimate atmosphere with beautiful lighting and exposed brick walls that would add a textural mystique to the entire vibe while the wooden furniture adds a balance to the space.
